Domestic Violence

If you are in immediate danger call 999 and ask for the police. Calls to the police are free.

If you need advice or emergency accommodation, day or night, call the National 24 hour Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247. Calls to this number are free.

The Domestic Violence Helpline provides access to 24-hour emergency refuge accommodation and also offers advice on safety. Translation is provided for women whose first language is not English. This helpline is run by two charities Refuge and Women’s Aid.

If you would like to drop in to West Hamsptead Women’s Centre to talk to someone in confidence we run drop in sessions Monday – Friday from 10.30am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm.

If you would like to speak to someone in depth you can book an appointment by calling us on 020 7328 7389 but you are also very welcome to come in without an appointment. Any issues you want to talk about will be treated in the strictest of confidence. We can provide emotional support and also practical help such as finding an alternative place to stay and a solicitor.
